vision

i'm reading "Doing Church as a Team" as part of this leadership thing we're doing at WG and the author of the last couple chapters has been talking about vision, and vision statements. i understand dreaming but not visions. to me it seems that we define this "vision" this concept and then spend so much effort at moving ourselves and those around us into this vision. well what if instead of moving ourselves into a predefined concept we just move ourselves and become comfortable with just moving and trusting. we embrace the movement, the process toward becoming. i think dreams are essential, some notion or ethos of what we're about and try to order our life in manner that helps that dream grow or allows the dream to become redefined. i guess what i'm uncomfortable with is how "we" define a vision then try to fit ourselves into that vision. let's just move toward the heart of Jesus and become. ah whatever.
