This past weekend was the 13th annual snow trip for the Palmer's and Klein's and as usual it was a gift. Being in the presence of people who choose to live in the way of Jesus is something remarkable, there is some special bond of Spirit that touches me deeply. It was a love fest. It was also freezing. My subaru's heater doesn't always work and so Friday night as we drove to the cabin it was so cold the moisture from our breath was freezing to the windshield and Dad had to scrape it with a credit card as I drove.
Sunday night we sang some songs and had a time of sharing what communion means to us and what it means to follow Jesus and concluded by taking communion as a group. Beauty. I love this rhythm in my life, Curt shared that for him it's a yearly pattern that helps him to reconnect, deepen his roots and become more grounded.
Steve and I were dreaming how neat it will be when those of us that are the "kids" now will be bringing our kids and it will change from a 2 generation gathering to a 3 generation gathering.
Rhythms of connection, travel, growth, love, and adventure.
