background
The time has come to leverage our complete integrated self in how we live our life, both individually and collectively. We need to engage and develop our mind, body and emotions. Prayer is our breath of life since it is through prayer, or communion with God, that we live and breath. In him we move and have our being, so much so that we are inexplicably linked to our Creator. The Nazarene came proclaiming union with God, the seed of life rooted in us. The practice of prayer should aid us in removing the layers of shit that have been placed on us, moving us toward finding the life breath of God within us. Prayer is not merely the utterance of words or petitions it is life with God in everything we do. Through new experiences, information and reflection we are able to awaken the dormant pulse of God that resides within.
implication
We are interlaced beings. Our bodies influence the way we think, how we process information, how circumstances influence our emotions. The same can be said in other direction, our emotional state of being directly affects our bodies, minds etc. The manifestation of self plays out in our western categories (body, mind, emotions), but at the root level they are inseparable in essence. The manipulation or exercising of one will undoubtedly affect the other. Stretching our body, mind or emotions propels us into the spirit that underlies our existence, and hence into the God that sustains us. We suddenly realize our connection to everyone, and to the creation we inhabit. We begin to become aware of the fingerprint of the Maker in each other and everything that passes our senses, and are thereby further awakened to the divine. As we become more sensitive to the presence of God we begin transcending boundaries that inhibit our ability to love and thus the spring of life begins pouring forth.
