last night (saturday night) was an amazing cultural experience. first i heard an awesome poet/actress katie something, that was followed by a "famous" poet laurate amiri baraka and then a song by oscar brown, and just when you think it couldn't get any better the verbal percussionists broke out with some wicked stuff. Truly indescribeable - TRULY, and then today i visited a couple church gatherings - mosaic and redeemer presb. @ the first i met shawn the pastor from portland, someone who truly seems to follow Jesus - as for the gathering - i'll post on that later - (running out of time on this internet kiosk) and this evening the message was amazing - but i have a hunch that most in the audience missed it. nobody greated me and i oberserved a few things of which i've seen better "behavior" at a sporting event. anyway - after feeling a bit lonely i met a couple people at molly wee's (where i drank guinness for free, don't ask me how). Theresa, JJ & Danny - I talked mostly with Theresa and i picked up on her brokenness and tried as best i could to shine a light in that area - hopefully she'll eventually let Jesus put those pieces back together. almost out of time.......i long for my companion.
